Scottish Association of Car Clubs
The Scottish Motor Racing Club (SMRC) has existed in its present form since 1963 although it was part of the Border Motor Racing Club from 1956. As a result, 2006 marks the 50th anniversary of the SMRC. The SMRC organises and runs motor sport events, primarily at Knockhill Racing Circuit in East Central Scotland.
The SMRC is run by a committee which meets every month and an AGM is held in March every year. Details of how to contact committee members and various other people can be found on the contacts page.
Anyone interested in competing at an MSA sanctioned motor racing event must be a member of an MSA affiliated club like the Scottish Motor Racing Club. To this end, there are two types of SMRC membership - racing and social. For more information or to download an application form, visit our membership page.
The SMRC both runs and participates in motor sport meetings at Knockhill Racing Circuit near Dunfermline. It also has races planned at Croft Circuit near Darlington, Oulton Park in Cheshire, Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire and Kirkistown in Northern Ireland.
